Since the earthquake in Nepal on 25 April our CPS team of Bharat and Anjana (our manager and his wife) plus our older boys and girls have been delivering basic supplies to those in need in the surrounding areas.
Other local people have provided the transport free of charge – a community working together to help their neighbours.
Very little official aid reached this particular part of Kathmandu in the days and weeks after the earthquake.
The CPS team provided the basics – 15 kg rice, 1litre oil, 10 packets of noodles, soap and various other essentials eg primus stoves, mosquito nets to over 250 families in need. We estimate that the cost per family is around £15.
